Child Protection Policy Blue Demonstration e.V.

1. Foreword
The management of Blue Demonstration e.V. is expressly committed to protecting the children and young people entrusted to our care. In recognition of our social responsibility, we undertake to take all measures necessary to identify risks at an early stage and actively counteract them. This concept reflects our fundamental ethical stance and serves as a guideline for all members, employees and volunteers.

2. Introduction
Children and young people should grow up in a safe and supportive environment. Blue Demonstration e.V. assumes this responsibility by:
Creating transparent structures and clear responsibilities.
Establishing measures for prevention and intervention in all forms of violence or transgressions.
Raising awareness of child protection issues among all those involved.

3. Mission statement and objectives
Mission statement:
Blue Demonstration e.V. is committed to ensuring that every child grows up in a non-violent, respectful and participatory environment. The focus is on the dignity, self-determination and individual development of children.

Objectives:
Prevention: Establish preventive measures to minimise risks and dangers.
Intervention: Define clear procedures and responsibilities so that swift and unbureaucratic action can be taken in the event of suspicion.

Training: Regular training courses for all responsible persons to strengthen their sensitivity and professional competence in the area of child protection.
Evaluation: Continuously review and adapt the concept to bring it into line with current requirements.

4. Legal basis
This concept is based on the provisions of the Child and Youth Welfare Act (SGB VIII) and other relevant legal provisions and recommendations (e.g. Federal Child Protection Act). All members are obliged to comply with these framework conditions.

5. Risk analysis
The following steps are taken to identify potential risk situations:
Analysis of club activities: Identification of areas in which children and young people could be exposed to particular risks (e.g. in group activities, excursions or individual supervision).
Structural assessment: Review of premises, access regulations and organisational processes.
Involvement of children and young people: Incorporation of their perspectives through regular feedback discussions and participatory workshops.
The results of the risk analysis form the basis for specific prevention measures.

6. Structural measures and responsibilities
Child protection officer: The association appoints at least one person as a child protection officer, who acts as the first point of contact for complaints, reports and suspected cases.
Definition of responsibilities: Clear definition of responsibilities within the board, in the working groups and in the care of children.
Documentation: Establishment of a binding procedure for documenting observations, suspected cases and measures taken.

7. Preventive measures
Training and awareness raising: All volunteers and full-time staff regularly participate in training courses on child protection, violence prevention and appropriate proximity-distance rules.
Code of conduct: Introduction of a binding code of conduct that regulates behaviour towards children and young people and defines clear boundaries.
Transparent communication: Promotion of open dialogue between coaches, parents and children, as well as regular information events.

8. Code of conduct
All persons working in the club undertake to adhere to the following principles:
Respect and appreciation: Every person, especially children and young people, is respected in their personality.
Respecting boundaries: Physical proximity may only take place within the framework of pedagogically meaningful actions and always with the consent of the children.
Clear communication: Inappropriate comments, gestures or behaviour are strictly prohibited. Sense of responsibility: If there is any suspicion of boundary violations or violence, the responsible child protection officer must be informed immediately.

9. Complaint and reporting procedures
Low-threshold complaint channels: Children, parents and employees can submit reports and complaints via various channels (personal conversations, anonymous letterboxes, online forms).
Confidential processing: All reports are treated confidentially, documented and reviewed promptly.
Internal coordination processes: In the event of suspicion, the child protection team is convened promptly to coordinate further action and involve external specialists if necessary.

10. Intervention in suspected cases

In the event of concrete suspicion, the following steps will be taken:
Initial contact: Immediate notification of the child protection officer and the board.
Internal clarification: Discussion of the case within the child protection team, taking into account the privacy of all parties involved.
External consultation: If necessary, consultation with specialists (e.g. counselling centres, youth welfare office).
Protective measures: Provisional suspension of employees or temporary measures to protect the children concerned until the suspicion has been conclusively clarified.

Documentation: Complete written record of all steps and decisions.

11. Training and further education
Regular training: At least once a year, training on child protection is held for all responsible persons.
External seminars: Participation in further training courses organised by professional associations or youth welfare offices.
Awareness days: Workshops are held to discuss current case studies and preventive measures.

12. Monitoring and evaluation

Documentation: All incidents, training courses and measures are continuously documented.
Regular review: The concept is evaluated at least once a year at a members' and board meeting and, if necessary, adapted.

Feedback rounds: Incorporation of feedback from children, parents and employees for the continuous improvement of the protection concept.

13. Closing remarks
Blue Demonstration e.V. regards the child protection concept as a living document that is continuously adapted to current challenges. We are committed to putting the protection of children and young people first in all our activities and to promoting trustworthy, transparent association work. Together, we create an environment in which children feel safe and respected.
